These terms are an agreement between you and InsightSphere, LLC (“we”), which operates Motif, and cover your use of Motif. By using it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Motif.
What Motif is
Motif is a personal AI assistant you talk to over WhatsApp. If you choose to connect them, it can read, draft and send email through your Gmail account and read and manage your Google Calendar. Before it acts on your behalf toward other people, such as sending an email to someone new or booking something, it asks you first.
Early access
Motif is in early access. Access is opened gradually from a waitlist, and joining the waitlist does not guarantee access. Features may change, be limited or be removed, and we may pause or stop the service, in whole or for some users, at any time.
Who can use it
You must be an adult (at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to use Motif. We ask for your date of birth to check this.
Your account
Your WhatsApp number is your identity on Motif. Sign-in codes are sent to you over WhatsApp. Keep your phone and WhatsApp account secure and do not share your codes; you are responsible for what happens through your account.
Acceptable use
Do not use Motif to break the law, to harass, deceive or spam anyone, to send content you have no right to send, to access accounts or data that are not yours, or to interfere with or try to get around the service's security or limits. We may limit or end access for anyone who does.
Connected accounts
Connecting Google is optional. You choose which Google permissions to grant when you connect. You can disconnect any connected account at any time in your workspace, and revoking Motif's access in your Google Account settings also ends it. Once access ends, Motif can no longer read or act in that account.
Mistakes and your approval
Motif is an AI assistant and it can get things wrong: it may misread a message, summarise inaccurately or propose the wrong action. Check what it proposes before you approve it. You stay responsible for the actions you approve, such as emails sent and events booked in your name.
No warranty
Motif is provided as it is and as available, especially during early access. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by actions you approved or by services we do not control, such as WhatsApp or Google. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your use
You can stop using Motif at any time and disconnect your accounts in your workspace. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if needed to protect you, other people or the service, or if we stop offering Motif.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Motif changes. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will make reasonable efforts to tell you before they apply. Continuing to use Motif after a change means you accept the updated terms.
